Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2, 2026

Photo Verified is built privacy-first. The short version: your photo is processed entirely on your device and never leaves your phone. We don't have accounts, we don't have a photo server, and we never see, upload, or store your photo.

The photo you take

Everything — capturing your photo, checking it against passport/visa requirements, generating the print sheet, and exporting — happens locally on your iPhone. Your photo is never transmitted to us or to any third party. When you save or share the final image, it goes only where you send it (your Photos library, the Files app, or whatever destination you pick in the iOS share sheet).

We do not have a backend that receives photos. There is nothing for us to leak, sell, or hand over, because we never receive it in the first place.

What we do collect

We collect a minimal amount of anonymous, non-personal usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to find crashes — for example, which document type was selected, whether an export succeeded, and error reports. This data:

Analytics and crash reporting are provided by PostHog, hosted in the EU. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple — not us — processes the payment and handles your billing information. We only receive Apple's on-device confirmation that the unlock is active; we never see your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchases.

Permissions

Children

Photo Verified is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
